Rhetorical analysis of " Dedicate a Crime, Undergo the Consequences”

" Commit a Crime, Suffer the Consequences” written by Mark Patinkin, who is a journalist and bulletin writer, shows the story of Michael Fay, who vandalized autos in Singapore as an American citizen and weather or perhaps not he deserves to suffer a similar punishment since the locals for his crime. In Singapore, " caning” is the default consequence for vandalism, which means that the offenders happen to be moderately beaten with wooden canes or perhaps bamboo. The Writer views Michael Fay as a adolescent who has to accept his sentencing for his criminal behaviour of autos, and because this individual committed a criminal take action in a distinct country, he can subjected to that country's policies. Patinkin believes that Jordan Fay's father and mother continually make excuses intended for his actions in Singapore blaming his choices on A. D. Deb. Instead of making excuses, the writer is convinced Fay must admit to his criminal offenses and pardon. Fay does not realize what feels like being on the getting end of such criminal behaviour. Patinkin provides a personal example from his own existence relating to his experience with car vandalism and explains in detail how unnerving it was. Patinkin's writing is about America using the habit of making justifications. Patinkin says America has created a game out of making standard excuses. In Michael Fay's case, Patinkin himself seems fairly sure the excuses intended for his criminal activity are ridiculous and just a way for Fay to weasel out of his punishment. Patinkin's key statement comes here in which he says; " All this is merely part of the Fresh American video game of often saying, ‘It's not my fault'. No one, when captured, seems ready to admit having done wrong anymore. They just complain and charm. ” Patinkin seems to have not any real recommendations when it comes to the politics of abiding international law, as his level is in Journalism, not Intercontinental Politics. That is not seem to quit him by taking a side in this...
