This kind of essay should examine the value of the Hip-Hop culture in 21st century world. It will begin with consideration with the history of Hip-Hop, discussing it is stylistic adaptations, cultural personal preferences and issues, referring to the studies of black culture by Ellis Cashmore and Mark Neal. Within this I will explore the ethnicity and authenticity of the culture, with regards to last years Popular Music and its Cultural Context product. The dissertation will then move on to evaluate the culture's relationship with the media, focusing on the well documented meaning panics associated with the culture; Let me make particular reference to the theories of Lewis Cohen. By simply studying the political and historical habits of the traditions, I effort to discover the overall meaning that the culture has for its users and for culture.
